Project summary: 
The objectives of this projects are: 1) delimit species boundaries in selected hover fly genera using mitogenomics (whole mitochondrial genomes), 2) resolve the phylogenetic relationships within these genera 3) perform cladistic analysis and evaluate the evolutionary trajectory of morphological characters 4) re-describe (new) species from the Afrotropics
